Meet Emily Callahan

Hi, I’m Emily and I’m excited to be your host for a new year of creative workshops!

I’m a professional graphic designer and illustrator with a penchant for all things creative, DIY, and home decor. I started designing and hosting workshops in 2023 — and let me tell you, it’s an amazing feeling helping someone bring their creative vision to life and passing along a kernel or two of creative know-how along the way. I’m thrilled to be expanding my workshop schedule in 2024 and hope to see you soon.

YAY SAVINGS!

Attend any three workshops or events and receive 25% off your next workshop.

Cards will be handed out when you attend your first workshop. Any combination of workshops/events counts (kids’ workshop will be credited toward the adult co-attending). Workshops/events must be attended in 2024 or beyond; cards cannot be combined between attendees.

PAST WORKSHOP SPOTLIGHT

DIY Holiday Wreaths

In December 2023, we decked our halls (er, front doors). Spread across four sessions, 34 creative folks fueled by cocoa, cookies, and community learned the art of wreath-making while nestled in a cozy space filled with fresh cedar, pine, and eucalyptus. The results are gorgeous!

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the workshop experience like?
Expect a relaxed and creative environment with plenty of coaching and creative tips to keep you going. Workshops typically last two hours which includes a project introduction, step-by-step demonstration, and individual guidance as needed along the way.

What workshops are available in 2024?
Five workshops and two pop-up shop events are currently scheduled for 2024. Check out details above. Sign up for emails to get an inside scoop and priority registration on all workshops!

How does registration work?
All registration takes place through this website. Workshop registration is opened on a rolling basis, typically 6–8 weeks before the event date. Once registration opens, you’ll be directed to a form to fill out and receive payment instructions to reserve your spot.

How can I be the first to know about workshops?
By signing up for emails from the studio of Emily Callahan! Folks on the email list receive priority registration and get the inside scoop on upcoming workshops and events.

Where do the workshops take place?
The majority of Emily Callahan’s workshops are hosted in Delta, Ohio. Location details will be available once details and registration drop. Specific addresses are provided to registered attendees.

What is the refund policy? What happens if a workshop has to be cancelled due to severe weather?
Please note, due to the nature of small group workshops, all sales are final. If you’re unable to attend a workshop after registering, your ticket can be transferred to a new attendee. Please send the new attendee’s name and email address to hello@emcallahan.com to start the process.

In the event of severe weather, updates will be provided by email and the workshop will be rescheduled. If you’re unable to attend on the new date, you can choose to receive a workshop credit in the amount paid for the original class or you can receive a take-home kit for your original registered class with written and instructions.

Are the workshops kid-friendly?
Kids’ workshops are the best! Check out the July 2024 workshop above for a kid-focused environment. Unless otherwise noted, most workshops are open to kids ages 10 and up, if accompanied with an adult.

Can I bring food or drink to the workshop?
Workshops include complimentary light refreshments like cookies, coffee, and water while you work. Please note any food allergy concerns on your registration form.

I see multiple dates and times for the workshops. Are they all the same?
Each workshop typically has 2–4 sessions to choose from to accommodate as many folks as possible. Pick whichever session works best for your schedule; sessions have identical content.

What if I’m not a super crafty person, or it’s my first time trying a new creative skill?
To that, I’d say, come on in! Group workshops are the perfect place to take some creative risks and put yourself out there. The 2024 workshops are all beginner-friendly and do not require any prior experience to dive in and make something you’ll be proud of. Thanks for being willing to try something new!

Can I request a private group workshop for a small gathering or business event?
Absolutely! For private workshop inquiries, email Emily Callahan at hello@emcallahan.com to learn more.

What’s your background? Why did you start hosting workshops?
I’m a full-time graphic designer and illustrator who loves people and staying curious. As a result, I have a wide range of interests and experiences, many centered on design, art, home decor, crafting, and baking. I design workshops around the things I enjoy doing the most professionally and personally. It brings me so much joy to celebrate creativity and build community with like-minded folks.

I have a question about something else.
